This sunscreen provided my skin with a golden-brown skin tone that is also smooth and soft. This sunscreen protected my skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays while giving my skin a glowing appearance. This product is made with mild ingredients that doesn’t cause skin irritations or discomforts for me. This product absorbed into my skin quickly and giving them comfort and soothing. This product has a light weight texture that absorbed easily into my skin without making them feels greasy or oily. This sunscreen also hydrates and moisturizes my skin to give them a softer touch with an even skin surface. This product is waterproof but I like to apply them onto my skin every couple of hours to ensure I get adequate protection from the sun.
I am pretty picky about sunscreen, and end up using it less often than I should because of this. But I am really pleased with this sunscreen from Oak Essentials. This has a nice light and fresh scent and a thin consistency that's easy to apply and spread. It does not leave a white cast after it's fully rubbed in, though I do have light skin. Best of all, it doesn't feel greasy on my skin. I was out in pretty strong sun for hours and did not burn, so it definitely was protecting my skin. Quite pricey, but a very nice product.
This sunscreen feels lightweight and hydrating, making it comfortable for everyday use. It blends into the skin nicely for a mineral formula and doesn’t leave a heavy or greasy feeling behind. The formula feels gentle which is great for daily body protection. The 6 oz size is generous and lasts a while with regular use. Overall, it’s a solid mineral sunscreen that provides reliable protection while keeping skin moisturized throughout the day.
I am really happy with this sunscreen. I am typically a little reluctant to use zinc based sunscreens because of the white cast they give off. However, I was pleasantly surprised to use this one. It absorbs completely and leaves only the most minute of white cast on the skin. Very tolerable, in my opinion. Also, the cream itself feels so nice. I love the way it is lightweight, absorbs well, is not greasy, and leaves zero stickiness or any residue at all. And the scent is wonderful, sort of citrusy. And the claims of it feeling like hydrating skincare are true. This is my new favorite.
Love this hydrating sunscreen. Feels very refreshing and not like a typical dry sunscreen. Very moisturizing and I also like the fresh scent and smell of this sunscreen. Very easy to squeeze the sunscreen out of the bottle top and it has a creamy feel too it. My skin feels soft after applying this being that this is a sunscreen. Like a 2-1 skin product and very happy with it. This mineral body sunscreen is expensive and otherwise I would not know about it or use it. Glad I came across this product and will continue using it as it fits my skin needs. Very gentle for my skin and protects it at the same time. Recommend it.
I like using this mineral body sunscreen because it feels more like a hydrating lotion than a typical sunscreen. The texture spreads easily and absorbs into the skin without leaving a heavy or greasy feeling. It does not leave a strong white cast on my skin and feels comfortable for everyday wear, especially when I am going outside for walks or errands. My skin feels soft and moisturized after applying it, which I appreciate since some sunscreens can feel drying. The formula feels gentle and simple, and the bottle size is good for regular body use. Overall it works well for daily sun protection while also keeping my skin feeling hydrated.
This is one of the best body sunscreens I have tried. It's pricey but the quality of this product means you get what you pay for nits lightweight, non greasy and lightly scented - lemony scent - and sinks in wonderfully. The left half of my arm in the picture has it rubbed in with no white cast. It is also a mineral sunscreen which are supposed to be far better for us and the environment than their chemical cousins. A bonus for sure!I'm excited to use this one this summer, though it is only SPF 30 so not for the most blazing days.
I have tried some Oak Essentials products before but this is my first time trying their sunscreen. I think I am a fan overall, though I wish the SPF was higher. It's good for quick outings when you won't be in the sun for very long.It has a nice texture, pretty light, spreads easily and I didn’t get much of a white cast once it was rubbed in. It feels more hydrating than typical sunscreen. It smells like grass or herbs or something, not my favorite, but not offensive. The main downside for me is that it's super expensive! You have to use a lot to get proper coverage, so the bottle is not going to last longer than like a month tops. I'd recommend it, but not particularly over more affordable options.
This is a lovely mineral sunscreen. I love that the bottom is big enough that I have enough product to use on my whole body rather than just my face.Mineral sunscreen is often not my favorite, especially if I have to be cover large areas since it takes forever to rub in and leaves a white cast. But I was please surprised by the Oak Essentials sunscreen. There is an initial white case but it actually disappeared quite quickly without too much rubbing in.It provided nice protection from the sun. I used it when out hiking in the AZ sun and I didn’t have any sunburn after several hours. It is pricey, but it’s a premium brand and you get a lot of product for the price.
I recently tried the Oak Essentials Daily Hydrating Mineral Body Sunscreen, and it’s been a great everyday sunscreen for body use. One thing I really appreciate is that it doesn’t leave a noticeable white cast, which can sometimes be an issue with mineral sunscreens. The texture is lightweight and not greasy, so it absorbs fairly quickly and feels comfortable on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated rather than sticky, which makes it easy to wear throughout the day. I usually reapply every few hours when I’m outdoors, and it layers well without feeling heavy or building up on the skin.
This sunscreen comes in a medium sized (Sort of outdated looking bottle) (6 fl oz.) that offers plenty of product. The sunscreen is a pretty thin white liquidity consistency that makes it easy to rub across your skin. I love that this Is SPF 30 so I can feel better about going out in the Arizona sun. Sadly, I cannot get past the strong scent that has strong floral notes (Plumeria), cucumber and Green Tea which are very overpowering. The scent reminds me very much of the perfumes my grandma would wear in the 80’s that would give me a headache. The bottle, although appearing a bit outdated, has a modern twist top cap that dispenses sunscreen through the hole in the top of the bottle which makes it convenient to dispense. You can also just twist the bottle cap off to dispense it straight from the bottle if you prefer. I think this is an effective sunscreen, and I love that it’s paraben free, but I just can’t get past the smell or the price, so I would pass on this one.
This Oak Essentials Daily Hydrating Mineral Body Sunscreen is a really great sunscreen. It is lightweight and has a lemony scent which I really enjoy. I accidentally applied too much and thought it was going to leave a white cast on my skin, but after spreading it throughout, it was not visible at all. It absorbs pretty well and does not leave a heavy feeling like regular sun screens.Oak Essentials makes very good quality products in my opinion and this sunscreen did not disappoint. It’s made with quality natural ingredients and is a huge improvement over the sunscreens I’ve used in the past. I live in Florida so I should use sunscreen every day, but I usually don’t like the way they feel. This one is definitely a product I won’t hesitate to use.The sunscreen is a little pricey, but it might be worth it if you dislike regular sunscreens.
I love Oak Essentials products and this mineral SPF 30 sunscreen fulfilled all my expectations. The dispenser on the top of the cap was very easy to use and convenient for squeezing out just the right amount of product needed. The texture of the sunscreen was very smooth and creamy. It was not watery in consistency at all, which made me feel that a little amount was sufficient to be able to apply to a large part of the body and that because it is not watery, it prevent overuse and wastage. My skin felt very hydrated after applying it all over my face, neck and chest. It did not leave any white residue and was not greasy or stick. I was able to keep my makeup looking fresh, and have the sunscreen protection benefits. The scent is light and fresh. Although labeled at green tea cucumber, I would describe it as a light citrus scent with green tea. Either way the fragrance was very pleasant but did not linger long.Overall, this sunscreen is a perfect addition to my Florida beach trips.
It takes a lot to wow me when it comes to sunscreen. As a super pale, “just look at me wrong and I burn” woman, sunscreen is a necessary evil. Oak Essentials MINERAL sunscreen brings the WOW factor in spades. I know mineral based sunscreens are best because they actually BLOCK the rays, but finding one that I like has felt impossible. This sunscreen from Oak Essentials has proven it can be done.It spreads like a lotion: it doesn’t take forever to absorb. There’s no white cast after application! It smells like I am having a treatment in a luxurious spa.It is actually hydrating my skin, so I’m getting sunscreen and a fantastic moisturizer in one.The ingredients are high quality and no animal testing. This isn’t a drugstore sunscreen. You’re paying for excellence. This indulgence is worth it.
I am absolutely thrilled with the Oak Essentials sunscreen. This product line is so highly esteemed, and knowing it was included in Oprah’s Favorite Things gave me all the confidence I needed to finally try it. It definitely lives up to the hype! While it is a bit pricey, it is worth every penny because the quality is outstanding and a little goes a long way. The lotion applies easily and absorbs so quickly without any of the heavy or greasy feeling you usually get with SPF. I love that it uses zinc oxide for broad-spectrum protection while still being lightweight and hydrating. The scent is subtle and refreshing, and my skin feels plumped and brightened after every use. It is great to find a clean, silicone-free formula that actually supports the skin barrier while protecting it. This has officially become my go-to daily protection, and I am so happy I added it to my routine.
I tried the Oak Essentials 30 SPF Mineral Sunscreen and it’s fantastic. I have tried a few mineral sunscreens and never liked them because they dried out my skin and left a white cast even after rubbing in. This Oak Essentials mineral sunscreen actually absorbs well into my skin and does not leave a white cast. I also tested it several times to insure it did not cause my skin to dry and it passed the tests! It does not leave my skin feeling sticky and it provides nice hydration while also protecting me from UV rays. The scent smells like a light refreshing floral scent. I find it relaxing and that’s coming from someone who is sensitive to smells. The packaging is nice and well thought out, allowing you to twist the cap and then squeeze the sunscreen out from the top. You won’t have to worry about it leaking from the bottom. Oak essentials is one of my favorite luxury brands and they delivered well with this sunscreen. I added a photo from before I rubbed it all the way in, and a photo after it was rubbed in and absorbed.
This is definitely a high end sunscreen. The smell has only the slightest trace of that nauseating sunscreen smell most heavy sunscreens have; in fact, the scent is quite pleasant. It is a heavy sunscreen though, so unless you have very dry facial skin, I would not use it there. Again though, not unpleasantly greasey and it is easy to completely rub in. Absorbs well.I can't fully test the sun blocking properties yet - waiting for summer to do that - but this is a quality brand so I cannot imagine them pulling anything shifty in that regard. If I find it does not do what it is supposed to after a day of working out the sun (soon, very soon! Spring is starting to show itself here in the cold Northwest) then I will update my review. If I don't update this review, it worked! Now, about the dispenser bottle. Ooo, I do not like it at all, and will be transferring to a squeezable container with a screw off top as soon as I have an empty one to transfer this this into. As is, there is no control over how much gets dispensed, and absolutely no way to put any back into the container. Its one big glop at a time, which will lead to waste, and with the price of this product ($52 at time of review) I don't want to waste any.
This seems like a great product. I took off a star because I don't love the scent of it. Other than that, I do like the top and how you twist to open with a little pour spout on top. Very ingenious design and less likely to spill when you toss it into your beach bag.The lotion is light and blends into my skin easily. Since there has not been much sunshine here lately, I haven't been able to really test out the UV protection but I have confidence in this brand as I have a few other products from them as well and they never steer me wrong.
This mineral body sunscreen feels noticeably more luxurious than most sunscreens I’ve used. The texture is smooth and hydrating, and it spreads easily without feeling thick or greasy. It has a light citrus scent that smells fresh and subtle rather than overpowering, which adds to the overall premium feel.In use, it feels more like a high-end body moisturizer than a typical sunscreen, which makes it pleasant to apply and reapply. I did not notice any heavy residue or uncomfortable buildup on my skin. The main drawback is the price. At over fifty dollars for a relatively small bottle, it is significantly more expensive than standard body sunscreens. While the formula and experience are clearly elevated, the cost may be hard to justify for everyday, full-body use.Overall, this is a high-quality, nicely scented mineral sunscreen that feels indulgent and well made, but best suited for someone willing to pay extra for a more refined sunscreen experience.
Oak Essentials has quickly become one of my top three favorite skincare brands, not only for its clean ingredients but also for its environmentally conscious formulations. When a brand prioritizes both, that is a real plus for me. This sunscreen provides broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection using zinc oxide as the active mineral ingredient and includes botanicals such as desert succulents and Indian beech tree seed extract to help support hydration and the skin barrier. It also features a Pacific Greens scent profile with notes of green tea, cucumber, and plumeria. I tend to prefer fresh, natural fragrances and this one fits that preference nicely. The scent is light and botanical rather than fruity or heavy, creating a crisp garden-like aroma that feels refreshing without lingering strongly.I grew up in Southern California spending a great deal of time on the beach, so sunscreen has been part of my routine for decades. It really wasn’t until the past few years that sunscreens began to feel comfortable enough for daily facial use, and this one is leaps and bounds above many I’ve used before. It doesn’t feel or smell like a typical sunscreen at all — it feels more like applying a lightweight lotion. Because it uses zinc oxide there can be a slight visible cast initially, but it blends into the skin quickly. I burn easily and rely on sunscreen regularly, not only to prevent burning but also because protecting the skin from sun damage is one of the most important things we can do for our skin as we age. This is one I'm comfortable trusting my skin to and I don't leave home without it. Thank you for reading my review.
I chose this sunscreen because I’m already familiar with the Oak Essentials brand and especially LOVE their lip balm. Knowing how well that product works and how much I respect their ingredients, I felt confident trying this sunscreen as well. It meets my expectations and exceeds them. The texture is nicer than many zinc formulas. It spreads easily and sinks into the skin without leaving a noticeable white cast on me. It disappears and leaves a soft focus finish. My skin is fair, so that may help, but it blends well for a mineral sunscreen. While I wouldn’t use this on my sensitive facial skin, it’s clearly marketed as a body sunscreen, and it performs beautifully in that role. It feels more like a lightweight body lotion than a traditional sunscreen! I’ve attached a photo of a squirt of it.The scent is quiet. It is soft and fresh, like a whisper of a coastal garden, or maybe distant honeysuckle blowing in the wind. It’s noticeable at first but not overpowering. Personally, I had to put my nose right against my hand to smell it later.Another detail I like is the bottle. Instead of a typical flip cap, the top twists open to dispense. My bottle arrived fresh with nearly a year until expiration. It’s also reef safe, Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free, and made in the USA, which are all positives in my book. This is definitely a premium sunscreen; Oak Essentials has positioned itself as clean, quiet luxury, and the price reflects that. But the formula, texture, presentation, and the quiet layered scent make it feel much more like an upgraded skincare experience than a basic drugstore SPF.
I'm pretty impressed by this sunscreen. I have a love/hate relationship with sunscreen because while I burn like crazy in the sun, I hate the feeling of anything sticky or heavy on my skin. I've taken to wearing long sleeves and pants even during the summer as a result even though it gets hot. I've yet to find a body sunscreen that doesn't feel heavy but this one is really nice. Coming out of the bottle, it immediately feels light and not heavy. It has a lightweight, almost a watery type of consistency that feels like a super lightweight moisturizer. It's easy to spread out and apply over the skin. It absorbs well and leaves my skin with a soft, kind of a powdery type of finish - likely because this is a mineral sunscreen - but no white cast on the skin. I don't mind the slight feeling of powdery texture it leaves because it still feels lightweight. This goes on gentle and does not irritate my skin in any way. It does a great job keeping my sun protected from the sun and I am so glad I can shed my long sleeves now. The sunscreen does have a scent but it feels refreshing. It reminds me of mild lemongrass and something green. I'm usually sensitive to scents and prefer unscented products but this one doesn't bother me as much. It's nice without being too strong. The bottle is interesting in that the sunscreen sort of needs to be squirted straight from the top of the bottle after twisting the cap to dispense. It doesn't have any outer cap so I need to make sure to keep the top of the cap clean and free of dust before using. This is pricier than most sunscreens but the quality is great and I think it's worth it. I am very happy with this product.
This mineral sunscreen has been a really good find. One of the first things I noticed is that it does not have that strong typical sunscreen smell. The fragrance is very subtle and light which makes it much more pleasant to use daily. The formula feels hydrating and gentle on the skin. It spreads easily and did not leave a white cast which is something I always worry about with mineral sunscreens. It absorbs well and feels comfortable without being greasy or heavy.I have also used this on my kids and it has been gentle enough for their faces with no irritation or issues so far. That gives me a lot of confidence in the formula. It feels soothing rather than harsh which is important for sensitive skin. The dispenser is another highlight. It feels clean and easy to use and makes applying the sunscreen quick and mess free. I am familiar with this brand and have used several of their other products with good results so I had high expectations. This sunscreen lived up to that experience and has fit nicely into our daily routine.
